This is a painting inspired by a vision of Elder whilst undertaking a shamanic diet with her berries. Elder symbolises a bringing up of our unconscious from under the earth and transforming this to consciousness. Four swans actually did fly past in a line as I looked up after my meditation, deepening this symbol of transformation. 

This also reflects the Hermetic wisdom: 'That which is above is from that which is below, and that which is below is from that which is above' The Emerald Tablet – Hermes Trismegistus.
